Definition§

1.

In this Law, "court" means a Rabbinical Court, a Sharia court, a court of a Christian community and a Druze religious court, sitting in judgment pursuant to their jurisdiction established by law.

Prohibition of Disturbance§

(a)A person who commits any of the following acts during the proceedings of a court, in the courtroom, in the chamber of a judge, qadi or qadi madhhab, or in proximity to the place of the proceedings, the court may order his removal, and may, after having warned the person to refrain from causing disturbance and he has not heeded the warning, punish him on the spot by a fine or by imprisonment of up to three months:
(1)conducts himself in a manner of violence or threats or in a riotous or disgraceful manner;
(2)causes noise in order to express agreement or disagreement with a legal act or a decision of a court;
(3)threatens an officer of the court or otherwise obstructs him in the discharge of his duties;
(4)otherwise disrupts the proceedings of the court.
(b)In respect of a punishment imposed under subsection (a), the court shall immediately give written notice to the President of the Supreme Court; the President, or another judge of the Supreme Court designated by the President for that purpose, may, after having summoned the convicted person if he so requested, annul the punishment or modify it in the convicted person's favour.
(c)This Section shall not apply to a person who, in the same matter, is subject to disciplinary jurisdiction under the Bar Association Law, 5721-1961, and who is present in the courtroom by reason of his duties.

Collection of Fine§

3.

A fine imposed under this Law shall be collected in the manner in which a fine imposed by a court is collected.
