Schedule (Section 1)

a. The person closest to the deceased is the surviving person who takes precedence within those listed below:

(1)his or her spouse;
(2)his sons and daughters;
(3)his parents;
(4)his brothers and sisters;
(5)the brothers and sisters of his parents.

b. If the deceased was a member of a group, kibbutz or moshav and did not leave behind any of those mentioned in paragraphs a(1), (2), (3) and (4), the group, kibbutz or moshav shall be regarded as the person closest to him.
