Chapter V: Miscellaneous Provisions

Savings provisions§

20.

Nothing in the provisions of this Law shall derogate from the powers of a police officer and an inspector under any law.

Amendment to the Local Authorities (Discipline) Law§

21.

In the Local Authorities (Discipline) Law, 5738-1978, in section 9, the following shall be added at the end thereof:

"(8) conducted a search, carried out a detention or entered private premises, unlawfully or not in good faith, or used force against a person, in the course of performing a duty, without lawful authority and without reasonable justification, beyond the required measure or contrary to directives received from the Israel Police or any other instruction given lawfully.".
