Penalties§
A person who contravenes the provisions of this Law is liable to imprisonment of one year or a fine as referred to in section 61(a)(2) of the Penal Law, 5737-1977; however, in respect of section 1(b), it shall be a good defence for the accused if he proves that the tefillin or mezuzot were kosher.
Implementation and Regulations§
The Minister of Religious Affairs is responsible for the implementation of this Law and may make Regulations for its implementation, including Regulations concerning the marking of the rabbinate's certification on tefillin and mezuzot or attached thereto.
