In this Law, "fallen soldier of Israel's military campaigns" means a soldier as defined in the Military Cemeteries Law, 5710-1950, who has died, as well as a person who, at the time of his death, was one of those enumerated in section 4f of that Law.

Grant of Honorary Citizenship§

3.
(a)The Minister of the Interior, on the recommendation of the Minister of Defence or a person authorised by him for that purpose, shall grant honorary citizenship of the State of Israel to a fallen soldier of Israel's military campaigns who, at the time of his death, was not an Israeli citizen.
(b)The Minister of the Interior shall publish on the website of the Population and Immigration Authority the names of the fallen soldiers of Israel's military campaigns who have been granted honorary citizenship under this Law.
(c)A parent, spouse, child or sibling of a fallen soldier of Israel's military campaigns who has been granted honorary citizenship under subsection (a) may request the Minister of the Interior to revoke it; where such a request has been submitted, the Minister of the Interior shall revoke the honorary citizenship, and it shall be deemed as though it had never been granted.

Restriction on Application§

4.

The provisions of this Law shall not apply to a fallen soldier of Israel's military campaigns to whom the Honorary Citizenship Grant to Fallen Soldiers of the War of Independence Law, 5770-2010, applies.

Implementation and Regulations§

5.

The Minister of the Interior is charged with the implementation of this Law and may, with the approval of the Interior and Environmental Protection Committee of the Knesset, make Regulations for its implementation; however, Regulations concerning the manner of transmission of the information required for the implementation of the Law shall also be made with the consent of the Minister of Defence.
