Prohibition of Exit for Security Reasons§

6.

The Minister of the Interior may prohibit a person from leaving Israel if there are grounds for concern that his exit may harm the security of the State, and he may lift the prohibition subject to such conditions, qualifications and restrictions as may appear to him to be appropriate.

(e)A person who exits to a foreign country in contravention of a prohibition under regulation 6 shall be guilty of an offence, and upon conviction shall be liable to imprisonment of up to one year or to a fine of up to one thousand pounds, or to both penalties.
