Definitions§
In this Law –
"days of rest" – as defined in section 18a of the Law and Administration Ordinance, 5708-1948;
"contract" – a contract between a business owner and a person, concerning the operation of the business on a premises owned by or managed by that person.
Restriction on enforcement§
A party to a contract that includes a term making performance of the contract conditional on the operation of the business on the day of rest of the business owner – shall not be entitled to the enforcement of such a term.
Restriction on cancellation and agreed compensation§
The non-operation of a business on a day of rest shall not constitute grounds for the cancellation of the contract or for a demand for agreed compensation by a party to the contract other than the business.
